Arjun Maini grabs his rookie podium in Pau, France

17 year old Arjun Maini made an impressive progress in round 3 of the FIA European Formula 3 Championship in Pau street circuit in France.

Arjun qualified 10th in his first attempt on a street circuit and finished 12th in Race 1. 

In Race 2 he finished his best in the series to date with 4th but it also placed him 2nd in the rookie category handing him his first ever podium trophy in F3.

In Race 3, Arjun finished 5th behind Lance Stroll in the tight circuit of Pau.

Arjun Maini commented "Great weekend of racing, managed my best result of 4th and followed that up with a 5th, I also managed to get my first rookie podium with a 2nd place in Race 2, this was my first street race and i thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. Time to look forward to Monza which is in two week´s time."

Another Indian driver 16year old Mahaveer Raghunathan spun in the final qualifying and failed to start the race.
